Field Trips

Our Field Trips includes a 30 minute presentation on rock climbing and all of the safety rules for students while at the gym, 2 hours of supervised climbing, and 30 minutes in one of our designated lunch areas for lunch: Total field trip visit is 3 hours.

The Field Trip will begin by getting all the students in the appropriate sized-harness and shoes. – The staff will then give a half hour presentation on the importance of clear communication and trust in rock climbing. They will also talk about the importance of health and fitness in the overall development of kids’ lives. After the presentation, the kids will move to the beginner walls and begin climbing under the supervision and guidance of our staff. During this part of the Field Trip, kids will be encouraged to cheer on their classmates and offer words of encouragement.

When someone finishes their climb our staff will encourage the students to use positive words to reinforce a “team” atmosphere, whether one has successfully ascended the climb or not. -For the last 45 minutes of climbing time, our staff will bring students downstairs who wish to try the more challenging tall walls. Once again, our staff will coach the students as they ascend the route, offering professional advice as they climb.

We offer schools a discount on pizza (30 %!) from Papa John’s, or $6 large one-topping pizzas from Papa Gino’s should they be interested.
